Manual sports car rental in KL: what to know
Almost nothing in this class is sold with a manual gearbox in Malaysia any more. The Golf GTI is a dual-clutch car here. The Type R is a genuine six-speed manual and is the single best answer on this page. The 718 Spyder is a manual in most markets and you should ask us specifically which car is in the fleet this month, because we have held both.
If what you actually want is the feeling of being involved more than the specific act of using a clutch, say so, and we will point you somewhere better. A GT3 with paddles will give you more of what you are chasing than a slow manual will. The Type R is the exception because the shift action is genuinely one of the good ones — short, mechanical, and satisfying at legal speeds, which matters far more here than it does on a track.
Worth being blunt about the traffic. If your plan is a manual car for daily driving around KL between five and eight in the evening, you will spend the hire riding a clutch on the Federal Highway and you will not enjoy it. Manual makes sense for an early morning run to Karak or Genting, and much less sense for a Tuesday commute. We will tell you this before you book, not after.

Questions we get asked
What does manual sports car rental cost in Kuala Lumpur?
The cars on this page start from RM 1,300 a day, and every one of them carries its own rate on its car page. Those rates are read live from our booking system, so they are current, not something we forgot to update. Message us your dates and you will get a full total back, delivery included.
Is delivery included?
Free anywhere in the Klang Valley on hires of two days or more. Single-day hires carry a delivery fee based on distance from our garage in SS15, Subang Jaya. Collecting from the garage yourself is always free.
What deposit will I need?
It depends on the car, not the booking. Most of the fleet is RM1,000, sports and performance cars RM1,500, and supercars RM2,500. Each car page states its own figure, and it is refunded in full once the car is back without damage or summonses.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks for a weekend, longer over December, Chinese New Year and school holidays. Weekdays are often available same-day. If your date is fixed, a deposit reserves the specific car.
